The five City of London Business Improvement Districts are delighted to have a float in this year’s Lord Mayor’s Show – Cheapside Business Alliance Aldgate Connect BID Culture Mile BID Eastern City BID Fleet Street Quarter
The theme for this year’s float design is ‘Reimagining the Square Mile’ celebrating how BIDs in the capital are a powerful and strategic force for good. From transformational public realm projects, to supporting small businesses and making areas safer, cleaner and more pleasant places to visit or work, BIDs have a proven track record for driving change and innovation across the City of London.
We hope you spotted the star of our float – beloved children’s tv character Morph! He was a key feature in our summer activities, Morph’s Epic Art Adventure, the first wheel-chair accessible art trail of its kind supporting the charity Whizz Kidz. These activities help to drive a new audiences supporting the City of London Corporation’s flagship Destination City policy of turning the City of London into a visitor destination of choice 7-days a week.
